Version 1.0 of the pitch-class set analyser was written in Perl in 2002. It ran 13968 times until September 2008. Version 1.2 was rewritten from scratch in Haskell in 2008. The new version does not add much new functionality but is smaller and much faster; you can now perform all kinds of pairwise comparisons on 100 pcsets in less than a second (although network latencies may make the improvement less obvious).
